Today I received a Microchip ChipKIT wifi shield courtesy of Dangerous Prototypes — and there should be a ChipKIT Uno32 coming along soon, too. I'm looking forward to using this to prototype some kind of web-enabled brewing system. It's good times at the Magic Smoke Brewhouse & Grill!
Update
A package duly arrived today from Dangerous Prototypes. It was a delightful surprise to open it and find not just the Uno32 itself — an Arduino compatible development board with a 32-bit processor running at 80 Mhz with 128K Flash and 16K RAM — but the starter pak including an I/O shield jammed with features and very useful prototype shield as well.
Thanks to Microchip and Digilent for the excellent booty and the folks at Dangerous Prototypes for organizing the giveaway. It certainly put a smile on my face.
